Intermont Photo Alum Wins Pulitzer
Congratulations to Virginia Intermont College Photo Alumni Preston Gannaway on winning this years Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. Preston is a 2000 graduate of the Photography & Digital Imaing Department and has worked in journalism since graduation.

Growth is Good
VIC Photo/Digital is growing! - We have just about outgrown our current campus spaces and are currently in the process of looking for an expansion space so that we may continue to grow. We are investigating on and off campus locations in which to move ALL facilities aside from our wet labs (they will stay in the basement of Intermont hall for now).
More information about this endeavor will be posted soon.


Charlottesville Festival
American Photo's Russell Hart returned to his hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia to report on the first-ever LOOK3: Festival of the Photograph, a photo extravaganza organized by National Geographic photographer Michael "Nick" Nichols.

New Life for Bruce
In the early '90s, Magnum photographer Bruce Davidson suggested a project on Central Park to the National Geographic editors he'd been working with in recent years. They hadn't done a piece on the park in decades, so they agreed, but insisted Davidson shoot in color, a thorn in the predominantly black-and-white photographer's side.
